  • Waking Life

"I walk around the school hallways and look at the people. I look at the teachers and wonder why they're here. If they like their jobs. Or us. And I wonder how smart they were when they were fifteen. Not in a mean way. In a curious way. It's like looking at all the students and wondering who's had their heart broken that day, and how they are able to cope with having three quizzes and a book report due on top of that. Or wondering who did the heart breaking. And wondering why."

"So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be."

Waking Life and Perks of Being a Wallflower.  Life doesn't get any freaking better.

    Wake the fuck up, people.

    I feel infinite.

  • Interesting video. 0.0 Hmm... Makes you think.

  • Young people get an automatic "Get out of Jail Free" card. They have so much on their plate trying to figure out who they are . . . they can't be held responsible for how they act most times. But the teachers . . . they have to know where they're at and where they're going - not just teachers, actually, but all adults - and if they're not being the best they can be, they're on the road to a very sad, pitiful life. The thing that gets me the most is that they are THE primary example of adulthood to young people and need to show them that life doesn't really suck. That's the role they should take seriously. Screw solving quadratic equations.
